About the Department of Humanities

The Department of Humanities firmly believes in developing interpersonal communication between teachers and students as well as creating an environment that will synergistically link scientific developments and thoughts to enhance the socio-economic, linguistic, managerial and humanistic development of the country. It aims to build communication and managerial skills and an awareness regarding various issues concerning society thus bringing in an all-encompassing and holistic development of the students. Original contributions to research and ongoing debates in Developmental Economics, Science, Technology and Socio economic development, Ethics, Cultural Anthropology, Science Fiction, English Language Teaching & Learning, Travel Writing, Gender studies, Logistics Management, Supply chain management are crucial within a Department like ours.

Dr. Saumik Paul
(Newcastle University, UK)

Dr. Saumik Paul (Associate Professor of Economics, Newcastle University, UK) is a renowned Economist, currently associated with Institute of Labour Economics (IZA). He had previously worked for the World Bank and Asian Development Bank Institute. His research interests include Micro Foundation of Macro Trends and Structural Transformation, Inequality and Emerging Markets
