Space Technology Innovation and Incubation Centre (STIIC)
With a mission to foster the spirit of innovation and mould successful entrepreneurs, IIST has established Space Technology Innovation and Incubation Centre (STIIC) in its campus.
STIIC will promote
(i) innovation and entrepreneurship by converting and translating technology ideas
(ii) translation of results in various disciplines of science and engineering into products, processes and services for commercial exploitation
(iii) integrating teaching, learning, research, and innovation with real-world needs, and
(iv) efforts to accelerate our nation’s ability to innovate and lead a knowledge-driven economy for the larger benefit of humanity.

While the emphasis of the STIIC is on Space related innovations/technologies, it covers all areas of science and technology in harmony with the Nation’s interest. STIIC will provide incubatees physical, technical and networking supports and services to assist product innovations and development, simulation and prototyping, pilot experimentation, product software testing, training, and other technology related work, in which there is considerable overlap with the Institute’s mandate. The activities of STIIC shall be monitored by the IPR and ICMC constituted by Director IIST and the policies shall be governed by Board of Management IIST. The STIIC policies and guidelines shall be made available in IIST’s website for the fair use of all stakeholders.
