The Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) is a premier institute in India dedicated to education and research in space science and technology. It was established on 14th September 2007 by the Department of Space, Government of India. IIST, a picturesque campus with state-of-the-art facilities conducive to learning and research, is situated at Valiamala, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, and very close to the Western Ghats, one of the world's biodiversity hotspots.
