The academic and Administrative audit teams constituted by IIST review the quality of the academic and administrative process in IIST. IQAC plans to have a self-study report of each of the departments, which can be prepared through data and physical verification by a team typically consisting of two senior faculty members of the department and two professors of the same discipline outside the institution constituted by the Head of the department, countersigned by the Dean (Academic) and approved by the Director, IIST once in 3 years starting from 2024. Typically it can be done in April-May of every year.
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of IISt has proposed a format for preparing the report based on the following criteria for conducting the academic audit.
The committee has to visit the departments and do physical verification of the processes, documents, and facilities with the support of the Head, two senior faculty members, and office staff of the department. Each team reviews the academic processes in the departments, prepares a report and makes recommendations to the department and the institute to attain the department goals aligned with the vision and mission of the institute.
The prime task of the IQAC is to develop a system for conscious and consistent development of the overall performance of IIST as an eminent institution in space science and technology. As an initiative of IQAC, with the cooperation of the Software Support Group (SSG) of IIST, for collecting and preserving data about all activities related to our institute. This data repository will help us in generating necessary reports and assessments. The features of the portal are enabled to have Data Accuracy and Verification, Completeness, Regular Updates, User-Friendly Interface, Possibility of Future Expansion, and Review.
We request you feel free to review the portal and send suggestions, if any, mail to iqac@iist.ac.in
