Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)


1. Will there be conference proceedings?

All accepted full-length papers (undergoing peer review) will be published in the form of conference proceedings with Springer as part of the book series - Lecture Notes in Mechanical Engineering.

2. Is accommodation available?

Yes, limited accommodation is available on a shared basis in the campus hostels. Participants who require accommodation can indicate this preference during registration.

3. Is there an online mode of presentation?

No, all presentations will be conducted in offline mode only.

4. Are group presentations allowed?

Yes, group presentations are allowed. All team members must be listed as co-authors when submitting the abstract through CMT. A common paper ID will be generated upon submission.

Each team member who plans to attend the symposium must register individually and provide the common paper ID during registration.

5. Is transport available to the campus?

Yes, transport will be provided. A bus will operate between the Thiruvananthapuram city area and the campus along a fixed route at scheduled times in the morning and evening on programme days.

6. Can I attend without presenting a paper?

Yes, participants are welcome to attend the sessions without presenting a paper. Please note that the registration fee is the same for all attendees, regardless of whether they are presenting.

7. Will participants receive certificates?

All registered participants will be awarded a Certificate of Participation. Participants who present their work will additionally receive a Certificate of Presentation.

8. Is there separate registration for the MATLAB / Advanced Manufacturing workshop?

No, there is no separate registration for the MATLAB / Advanced Manufacturing workshop. Delegates who wish to participate in the workshop must register for ASTRA 2026.

Note:

  • The MATLAB workshop has a maximum capacity of 80 participants.
  • Seats will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Only delegates whose payment has been successfully confirmed will be considered as registered participants.

9. Will selected papers be published by Springer Nature?

Yes, all accepted full-length papers (subject to peer review) will be published as conference proceedings under the Lecture Notes in Mechanical Engineering series.

Extended abstracts will undergo a thorough review process, and only selected papers will be forwarded for publication.
