Abstract: Aditya Solar wind Particle Experiment (ASPEX) on-board Aditya-L1 is designed to measure solar wind, suprathermal and energetic particles in the interplanetary medium and it started its science phase operation in 2024. ASPEX has two subsystems – SWIS and STEPS. While the Solar Wind Ion Spectrometer (SWIS) measures direction-resolved solar wind as well as suprathermal proton-alpha fluxes and provides solar wind bulk parameters (density, velocity, temperature etc.), Supra-Thermal and Energetic Particle Spectrometer (STEPS) provides energetic ion fluxes in multiple directions. These measurements have potential to uncover various unresolved/poorly resolved aspects of solar wind and energetic particle physics. Some of these aspects will be highlighted. In the last one year, several science results have also been communicated that are presently under review. These results include the salient aspects related to the impact of interplanetary coronal mass ejections (ICME) on the terrestrial magnetosphere, directional anisotropy of suprathermal ions during quiet periods, ICME-ICME interaction structures etc. Glimpses of these results will be shown and future science pathways will be discussed.
