Abstract Type: Contributory Presentation
Abstract: The extreme G5-level geomagnetic storm that occurred during May 10-12, 2024, known as the Mother's Day storm, provided an unprecedented opportunity to investigate ionospheric dynamics through three-dimensional tomographic reconstruction techniques. This event, the strongest in over two decades with a Dst index reaching -412 nT, resulted from multiple coronal mass ejections from solar active region AR13664. Using computerized ionospheric tomography (CIT) methods, we reconstructed three-dimensional electron density distributions during this extreme space weather event by integrating multi-source observations including Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) total electron content (TEC) measurements, ionosonde data, satellite altimetry observations, and radio occultation profiles
